Crit Lesson Notes.

We showed our opening title sequences (whatever state they were in) in the lesson last week. Everyone else in the class also showed theirs and we discussed how it could be improved or what was good about it.
Our title sequence 'Traces' got the following critisms:
- We were advised to re-film the part in which Daniel Pye (The doctor) screams when he sees the ghost. They felt the scream wasn't realistic enough and wouldn't be believable when shown to an audience. We are since going to re-shoot this sequence and improve this part, as this could improve the quality when we show the finished product.
- Another point that the class made was that our shots needed to be tighter. Our title sequence shows alot of the film without giving too much away, - so it is alot like the beginning of a film, meaning that we just need to shrapen the shots and make it a bit quicker
-Another point that was dicussed between us and the class was the aspect of music and sounds. We decided as a group and with the teacher that instead of having a steady stream of music throughout the title sequence, we should use effects of a heartbeat and clock ticking. This was decided as it exaggerates the point of him being a doctor and his lack of sleep.
In conclusion it was a constructive crit, and it was helpful to make these improvements to imrpove our title sequence as a whole, we will make these changes soon and this will hopefully boost our grade up. Overall if we added these aspects our teacher agreed our grade so far would be a B grade.
